Tell us a little about yourself

I’ve been a vegan since October 2015, and I live in Omaha, NE. My background is law, yet, I decided a traditional practice is not for me. I currently work for the real estate department at a railroad.

How did you get started with bodybuilding?

All those Instagram pictures I saw when exploring my feed!

Where does your motivation come from?

I’ve always been an athlete, and I’ve almost always had an “athletic” looking upper body. But I got made fun of as a kid for having chicken legs. So, I’m playing the long-game for leg gains!

What are some of your greatest achievements?

I am most proud of my courage to step outside of the box and try new things; including activities (learning acoustic guitar/singing, learning 1.25 new languages, taking martial arts for 4 years) and career paths.

What is your current training philosophy?

Longevity

What are 3 tips you would give to someone trying to reach their goal physique?

1) Set realistic goals within your desired time frame. 2) Get enough sleep. 3) Drink enough water + eat consistently and honestly towards your goals.

What is your diet like? And does it differ on-season vs. off-season?

I have a high protein vegan diet. The macros for the protein have stayed pretty similar, but I have lower carbs and fats during contest prep.

When trying to cut down what type of cardio do you do and why?

I walk; it takes more time, but it’s easier on the joints. It’s also a great way to make yourself get outside, or to read a book if it’s on the treadmill.

What is your next goal?

I am planning to do my pro debut show in September. It would be amazing to get first call outs!
