Tell us a little about yourself….
I am 28 years old and a dog mom to Bella and Jack Daniels. I am a huge Disney fan. I started my fitness journey in January 2020. I weighted about 145 pounds and my goal was to lose weight and look toned. I got a personal trainer to help me with workouts because I needed motivation and the push to come to the gym. Once I felt like I reached my goal of what I needed, I decided to challenge myself more. I started looking for a coach and started training June 2021 for my first show in October 2021. During this whole process I lost about 30 pounds.
How did you get started with bodybuilding?
My friend had been wanting to compete and I told her if she did a show, I will do one with her. I went ahead and started looking for a coach and found Dominique and became apart of Team Boflex. I competed in my first show at the Alamo Showdown 2021 in Novice Bikini and Athletic, that’s when I fell in love with bodybuilding and want to keep competing and share my passion with everyone.
Where does your motivation come from?
My motivation comes from being an example to my family and friends that if you put your mind to it you can achieve anything you want in life.
What are some of your greatest achievements?
My greatest achievement is getting my Pro card and how far I have come in my fitness journey. From someone who would make excuses not to workout, now I’ve turned into someone who is dedicated and passionate about working out.
What are 3 tips you would give to someone trying to reach their goal physique?
- Trust the process
- Don’t give up
- Any little progress is process. celebrate it
What is your diet like? And does it differ on-season v. off-season?
On-season I stick to the plan 100% and trust the process and plan that my coach set for me. During off-season, I live a 80/20 lifestyle and incorporate more choices and creativity with my meal plan.
When trying to cut down what type of cardio do you do and why?
Stair master is my best friend for cardio
What is your next goal?
My next goal is to keep competing but eventually would like to start coaching and share my passion with others.
