Tell us a little about yourself….
I’m 26 years old and originally from Amarillo, TX. I’ve lived in the Austin area for 6 years, two of those years where in San Marcos, where I attended school at Texas State University. I have 8 years of training experience under my belt. I’m the CEO and Head Coach for Lit Fitness, where we focus on helping people look good, feel good, while still balancing a social life. I currently train clients and hold group workouts at Lift ATX , arguably one of the best gyms in Austin.
Fun Facts: Love Anime, comics, and I’m a Die Hard Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Rockets Fan🚀
How did you get started with bodybuilding?
About a few months ago, people at my gym kept telling me I should compete. Me, wanting a new challenge mentality, decided to go all in on it….and as of now, I’m loving the sport!
Where does your motivation come from?
The people that go to my home gym, my current coach Justin Bohannon, and the top Classic Physique guys in the game….business motivation, just the constant desire of wanting to be the best
What are some of your greatest achievements?
Winning my first bodybuilding showing, quitting my 9-5 job to pursue entrepreneurship,
What is your current training philosophy?
Train with purpose…..work to outwork the competition.
What are 3 tips you would give to someone trying to reach their goal physique?
Even when you don’t feel like it, go do it. Build everything around discipline, not motivation….. motivation is temporary, discipline is not. Stop comparing someone’s destination to your current self….Stay a student , and be open to different method/techniques that may or may not benefit you in the long run.
What is your diet like? And does it differ on-season v. off-season?
Varys honestly, I track macros. I don’t follow a designated meal plan. Off-season is the same as in season, I just eat more lol
When trying to cut down what type of cardio do you do and why?
Incline treadmill at moderate intensity. Easier than the stair master and burns more calories than cycling, at least for me.
What is your next goal?
Nothing major, keep growing my business and win as many shows as a natural competitor as I can.
What’s your Favorite Quote?
Perfection is the enemy of progress.
