Tell us a little about yourself….
I serve in the U.S. Air Force, been in 17 years, married with 4 kids. I’ve competed as a pro more than 20 times. I’ve never had a coach or posing coach, I learned on my own and reached out to knowledgeable people when I needed. I enjoy spending time with my family, working out, and playing video games.
How did you get started with bodybuilding?
I started my bodybuilding journey when I was deployed. A couple coworkers saw potential in me and got me into it.
Where does your motivation come from?
I love competing and watching how my body changes. Every change/improvement I see is energizing.
What are some of your greatest achievements?
I’ve placed top 3 in almost every show I’ve done, but watching my athletes go pro and seeing my clients build the physique they wanted is amazing.
What is your current training philosophy?
Mind muscle connection and time under tension is key. Train until you become undeniable.
What are 3 tips you would give to someone trying to reach their goal physique?
Ask questions if you have them, this is not a sprint, and do research. Don’t just do an exercise you see someone do because you want that body part, ask them a question: how much volume, intensity, etc. Watch how they perform the movement. Give your body rest to grow. If you think your tired, your not, get 2 more reps.
What is your diet like? And does it differ on-season v. off-season?
It differs and I stick to intermittent fasting and carb cycle.
When trying to cut down what type of cardio do you do and why?
Walk on treadmill or sports (practice) with my kids, football, baseball, basketball and volleyball.
What is your next goal?
Continue to beat my past physiques and win every top natural organization championship.
What’s your Favorite Quote?
Study hard and all things can be accomplished. Give up, and you will amount to nothing.
